QuickCred Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains what information QuickCred collects when you apply for or use a loan, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our app and every loan account. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.
1 Who we are
QuickCred provides loans that let you buy products from partner merchants and pay for them in monthly instalments. In this policy, “QuickCred”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean QuickCred, whose office is at 12 Example Road, Pune 411001 (fictional address). “You” and “your” mean anyone who visits our website, uses our app, applies for a loan or holds a loan account with us, including anyone named as a nominee on an application.
We are responsible for deciding how the information described in this policy is used. If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, you can write to us at privacy@quickcred.example, and we will reply as soon as we reasonably can. Our grievance officer’s details are in the last section of this policy.
2 What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
When you apply for a loan or contact us, we collect identity details, including your name, PAN and date of birth; contact details, including your mobile number, email address and postal address; and financial details, including your bank account, IFSC, monthly income, employment type and the repayment instruction you set up. If you add a nominee, we collect their name and relationship to you. We also keep a record of every message you send us and every call you make to our support team, including recordings of calls.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
We collect device and app data, including your contact list, SMS metadata and precise location when you use our app. We also collect your device model, operating system, app version, IP address, browser type, the pages and screens you view, the buttons you tap and the time you spend on each, and information about how you arrived at our website. Some of this information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, which are described later in this policy.
2.3 Information from others
We receive information about you from credit bureaus, including your credit score and your repayment history with other lenders; from the merchants where you use a QuickCred loan, including the products you buy and their delivery status; from identity verification providers that confirm your PAN and bank account; and from our partners and affiliates, including information about offers you have viewed or accepted with them.
3 How we use it
3.1 Running your loan
We use your information to make credit decisions, including whether to approve your application, the amount we can lend and the terms we can offer. We also use it to set up and manage your loan account, to collect instalments through your repayment instruction, to send you statements and reminders, and for collections when an amount is overdue, which may include contacting you, your nominee or the references you have given us.
3.2 Protecting you and us
We use your information for fraud prevention, to verify your identity, to detect unusual activity on your account and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including reporting to credit bureaus and responding to requests from courts and authorities. We may combine information from different sources to build a picture of your credit profile and the risk of lending to you.
3.3 Offers and improvements
We use your information to show you personalised offers from QuickCred and our partners, based on your application, your purchases, your location and how you use our website and app. We also use it to understand how our services are used, to test new features, to measure the effect of our marketing and to improve our products. We may use automated tools to decide which offers you see.
4 Who we share it with
We share your information with partners, affiliates, lenders, credit bureaus, collection agencies, marketing partners and service providers. These include the merchants where you use your loan; the banks and payment networks that process your repayment instruction; companies that provide identity checks, customer support, cloud hosting and messaging on our behalf; other lenders who may fund or buy your loan; agencies that help us recover overdue amounts; and marketing partners who may contact you with their own offers.
We may also share your information with professional advisers, auditors and insurers, with courts, regulators and law enforcement authorities where the law requires or allows it, and with any company that takes over all or part of our business. Where we share information with service providers, we ask them to use it only for the work they do for us. Partners and marketing partners may use the information they receive under their own privacy policies.
Some of the companies we share information with store or process it outside India, including in countries whose data protection laws may differ from ours. Where this happens, we rely on the arrangements those companies have in place, and by using our services you agree to your information being transferred, stored and processed in this way.
5 How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as necessary for our business purposes or as required by law. This includes the time during which you hold a loan account with us and the time afterwards during which we may need the information to answer questions, handle complaints, recover amounts owed, defend legal claims, prevent fraud or meet our record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you, although copies may remain in our backups for some time before they are overwritten.
6 Your choices
6.1 Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data by emailing privacy@quickcred.example from the email address registered on your account. We will confirm your identity before acting on the request. We may keep some data where the law requires, including information about any loan you still owe, records we must keep for regulators, and information we need to prevent fraud or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Deleting your data does not close a loan account or cancel any amount you owe.
6.2 Marketing messages
You can opt out of marketing messages from QuickCred by replying STOP to any marketing SMS, or by writing to privacy@quickcred.example. It may take up to 30 days for your request to take effect across all our systems. Opting out does not stop messages about your loan account, reminders or collections, and it does not stop partners who have already received your information from contacting you under their own policies; you will need to contact them directly.
6.3 Other requests
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date, by writing to privacy@quickcred.example. We may ask you for proof of identity and, where the law allows, charge a reasonable fee for requests that are repeated or unusually large. We will reply within the time the law requires.
7 Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website and in our app to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how our services are used and show you relevant offers, including on other websites. When you first visit our website, the cookie banner asks for your consent. You can accept all cookies, or choose “Manage choices” to switch analytics and marketing cookies on or off. Necessary cookies are always on because the website does not work without them. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser.
8 Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption of data in transit, access controls for our staff and regular reviews of our systems. However, no method of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us over the internet. Please keep your password, OTP and PIN to yourself: we will never ask you for them by phone, email or message.
If we become aware of a security incident that affects your information, we will look into it, take the steps we consider appropriate to limit its effects and, where the law requires, inform you and the relevant authorities. You can help protect your account by using a strong password, keeping your phone’s operating system up to date and telling us straight away if you notice any activity on your account that you do not recognise.
9 Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time by posting the updated version on our website. Changes take effect from the date on which they are posted, unless a later date is stated. We may also let you know about important changes by email or through our app, but we are not required to do so for every change. Your continued use of our services after a change is posted means that you accept the updated policy, so we encourage you to check this page regularly.
10 Contact
If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle your information, please contact our grievance officer, A. Example, at grievance@quickcred.example, or write to the Grievance Officer at 12 Example Road, Pune 411001 (fictional address). Please include your name, your registered mobile number and, if you have one, your loan account number, but never your full bank account number, OTP or PIN. We aim to reply within 30 days of receiving your message.
